At what point does the game record pts?

At what point after a round does the game record points? I keep losing points, so I thought maybe I'm leaving the server too soon.

You lose points from team dmg, suicides and teamkills.

The servers constantly record points, from beginning to end of round.

You can go in, kill one guy and leave and it will count the kill...

Yes. The servers keep stats in real time. Everything that happens gets logged by the server. At the end of the round all of the data from that round is sent from the game server to the official stats servers; the ones that feed BFHQ and the various stats sites. Even if you leave before the end, your data from that round still gets uploaded along with all the other data when the round ends. The only thing that stops this from happening is if a server crashes during the round, in that case the data from that current round is lost.

Just to clearify:
The server reports stats only when maps load. They record scores constantly, but they are only upped to the stats server when you're loading maps.

Thus, if a server crashes before a load, you loose your score not only for that round, but any round before loading.

This tragicly cost me my best round score ever. On wake, previous to 1.2. Managed to wrack up over 250 points by whoring a blackhawk. Infact, the whorage was so hard that we suspect it's what crashed the server. So many people dying and respawning that the server desynced.

Points are reported after a round, not only when a nw map loads...otherwise you wouldn'tsse ranked servers with 24/7 karkand maps that load every 50+ rounds.

if you want to make sure your points/badges/ribbons/medals are recorded...finish the round and then start the next round (actually click JOIN GAME)

Trust me it works...just quitting causes the data to not be sent for some odd reason..i know cuz i've lost a gold star and the explosive ordinance badge to not joining the next round and just quitting.
