My brain is melting..................
ARGH. I am sorry. I am frustrated. I am TOTALLY confused between Gamespy, EA, UniqueNic, EA Account, etc.
For months I have played with my login and password. AFAIK I had a Yahoo mail account, created a nickname, and played.
So today I download BF2 Euroforce, create a new EA Account. Euroforce installs, I can see the maps in singleplayer and multiplayer, but when I attempt to play I am told that I need to purchase Euroforce!?
I do not know what to login with. I think I have edited my nickname in the downloader, but I do not see how to create a new account in BF2
Or at least in Managing Accounts I am told that this UniqueNic already exists. Of course it does, I created it 5 minutes ago!!!
As you can see I am confused. I seemingly have accounts and nicknames all over the place but nothing is working. I am highly tempted to give it a couple of days to get working, then ask for a refund on my money. :|:
My other thought is:
Try a re-install. But surely whatever nickname I type in to BF2 will be flagged up as already existing????? Because I cannot create the same account.
Do ALL Euroforce players have to do a clean install of BF2, so that BF2 knows you have upgraded to Euroforce?? And then nicknames created after that work OK with Euroforce?
OTOH if I create a new nickname through the downloader then.... how do I use that with BF2 without an error appearing.......... I thought Gamespy was an online PC games magazine or a Quake server search, how is it wrapped up in BF2, why is there a Gamespy nick and an EA nick..... my brain HURTS and I am tired and need to go to bed...
