got basic and vet knife at sametime...no promo?

i got both at the sametime and noticed reading somewhere that there is a bug regarding this and getting promoted...i searched the forums and couldnt find anything regarding this but hope someone could help real quick... i currently have all badges, i am at 21200 and still a master sgt ... ihave played about 10 diffferent ranked servers and still no promo...do you think the knife thing screwed everything up? also i got my 3 final badges over 20,000 in points ... thanks for any help. and i got my last badge maybe like 15 hours ago.

You have to get the badges before ranking up to get the higher rank.
Looks like you have a long way for the next rank...

Like DanneDA said, you have to have the badge before 20,000 points. There is a bug where if you get both badges in one round before 20,000 you won't get credit for having gotten the basic badge, however, since you were over 20,000 anyway this doesn't apply to you.

most i got was like 1500 in one day and is was because i was huslting for 1st sgt... for some stupid reason i thought i had all the badges i needed and when i checked my stats it said 1st was my next promotion when i was still a gunn sgt...i was manipulated...i think i am gonna do like 500 a day and wait like 2 months.

to whomever said that this doesnt make sense, that you dont get promoted from Master Sergeant to First Sergeant after you recieve all the badges....i can say as a Marine myself that this makes perfect sense. The main point is that First Sergeant is NOT a promotion from Master Sergeant, they are both considered E-8s in the Marine Corps. That is to say that they are both equal rank. However FYI the difference between the two is that MSgts stay within their MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) or their job, where as 1stSgts move over to administrative work for a Company. A 1stSgt IRL can NEVER become a MSgt and the same for a MSgt Becoming a 1stSgt. Also, a bit more information, when a Master Sergeant gets promoted he becomes a Master Gunnery Sergeant, where as a First Sergeant becomes a Sergeant Major.

ahhhh ok thanks for the explanation...i have 10 close friends in the military so i will go yell at them now.
