We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.

it's actually from the movie "Alexander" from the battle of guagamela scene. The beginning was a "base of fire section". during those quick scenes of gun fire, we were mostly having an assault buddy team flank another gun position. And yes we were MEC alot of the time, hard to have a clan and be USMC with autobalance on, usually we end up MEC. I suppose it's hard to judge scenes when you guys didn't play through em, the quick 1 second clips dont really show what happened b4 and after, but just give a quick glimpse of action.
Nice to see someone using BR to make vids! I'm kinda sick of all the first person Fraps videos floating around.
The score is cool. Liked that a lot. Some very good camera angles too.
A couple tips:
- Your camera control could use a little work. When you do pans and stuff, it's perty jerky. Try turning your sensitivity down some when you're recording the camera. Another handy trick for dolly cam shots (where the cammera is actually moving) is to start moving before the action that you want is in frame. If you don't see the hard start to the cam's movement, it's less jarring to the viewer.
- The tags and score readout doesn't look great in a vid like this. Maybe you want to keep it for identification of clanmates and so people can see who killed who, tho. If not, use this console command: renderer.drawHud 0
This will take the tags 'n other game info out.
- The flow of things seemed a little off. It didn't really build much or go anywhere. This is a damned hard thing to get going. You might want to try sticking to a basic formula: Start with troop movement, go into various shots being taken, show some deaths, then move into more dramatic kills (explosions, spectacular shots). Wind down with some "Action Hero" pose shots (Get some buddies to stand on a rooftop with the sun behind them, for example).
Just a handful of tips I hope ya can use. Good work, keep it up!
ya it was a pain figurin out flow for this vid, i ended up using base of fire shots to start off with, then i went to a routine of action shots, which i mostly rotated between the 4 members shown in this video. I've noticed that people have said that the begining starts off slow, and it looks like we're camping, in reality it's just members setting a base of fire, for other members to maneuver, then most of the rest of the vid, is the maneuver element, takin out the enemy with flanks etc...
OMFG 2 whole minutes of credits FFS! The first half was a display of teamwork but the second half, well it was just people killing each other with various methods.
