Ok, so this picture is a photoshop, thank you.

Thanks USARANGER01, you are right, if i start my assualt lower will decrease the angle to aim at a tank.

New question: Is there a limited amount of flares, or unlimited? Is there a known duration for their cooldown?

Another random question: Are their any servers with BFRecorder turned on that i can download rounds from? I have tried a few servers with it on, but when the round shows up under my community tab, and i try to download it says download refused by server...

the flares are unlimited, but you have to wait about 15 seconds for them to reload before you can deploy them again.
check off "battlerecorder enabled" in the filter list, then after a round, go to
community tab and dowload the game you want

actually, after thinking about it, it is more like 10 seconds for reload of flares
and about this: "have tried a few servers with it on, but when the round shows up under my community tab, and i try to download it says download refused by server..."
i think its because a server only saves 30 rounds, so you should download the round right after you play it

        Re: Attack Chopper Questions

The overlayed grey part is photoshopped from the EF heli to show you where to line up for the gunner to get a good tv shot.

We have Battlerecorder running and working properly, info for the server in my sig. Battlerecorder by default is set to save 30 rounds then over-write them. I've set ours up to save 100 rounds before it starts to over-write the oldest ones. But that is still only 2-3 days so its best to download the BR demo after you finishing playing that day to make sure you get it.

That green box only shows the pilot which way the co-pilot's gun is pointing, so you can tell if he is looking at or right at any moment.

box looks like a gunner's view...i haven't flown in EF so i'm not sure, but that's what it looks like...

              Re: Attack Chopper Questions

The grey box in the screen is a photoshop to give you an idea of where the tv missile screen is looking in correlation to your screen.

                Re: Attack Chopper Questions

I've been wondering about what exactly the gunner view is when he is in tv-guided mode..... so essentially (from that pic) you have to put the target slightly to the right of the center of the green box (which indicates the direction the gunner is looking at from center). heh all this time i've been lining shots for my gunner based slightly below the pilot crosshair
