Only one aprehention on getting ef

Aside from the "Its just 10 bucks" I would like to know if EF is widespread enough to play online with a healthy player count? Those of you that have it already, do you get the impresion that it will take off and be a regular part of bf2 or will it just be a shelf warmer like SF. To end this post, I really wnat to get EF and AF but if they dont catch on and take off on servers I would rather not waste my time.

P.S. no flamers please, just state your opinion.

If you take a look around, there's been several "is it worth it?" threads already. I think the pack's worth the very small amount of money being asked, other's don't. If you aren't sure, wait a couple of weeks.
The EF servers (and unlike SF, vanilla BF servers with EF maps in their rotation) show up in your game browser window, so you can keep an eye on numbers playing.

I haven't had any trouble finding servers to play on. Time will tell though. But so far the new maps seem poular and well liked. The newness, of course, has a great deal to do with it. But they are different than all the other maps which adds a nice variety. 10$ will, for a lot of people, be little to risk for a great deal of good fun.

No problem at all finding a EF server, infact most are now adding it in rotation with vanilla.
Its a proper addon, not like SF which IMO is rubbish and a flop.
EF has been a great success so far i think and you will just loose out if you dont have it. If the maps are in the servers rotation you are in, you will have to find another server to play once a EF map loads. EA's way of convincing you to buy it :hmm:

Yeah, everybody says "it's just $10". Well add that to the $50 for BF2 and the $30 wasted on SF it's not that much of a bargain. Friends bought it and the regular servers we play on haven't added EF to the rotation, so they haven't really played it at all. There are no standout maps or good urban maps like the community wanted so it will be forgotten in a week.
