Installed EF, but can't play..

Hello all, I downloaded EF and then installed it. When I went to play either sp or mp I got the exact same message:

You cannot hoin this server without having the Battlefield 2: Euro Force Booster Pack installed.
Press button below to buy the Battlefield 2: Euro Force Booster Pack. Please note that you must
use your online account to play Battlefield 2: Euro Force Booster Pack.

Any ideas on what to do? I am using the current 1.21 patch, windows xp operating system. Thanks.

blizzard84, at a guess I'd say that you're the 86th person to post that screenshot in this forum over the past few days :)


Open up the EA Downloader.

Click on Euro Forces Booster Pack

Under the 'Play Now' icon click on 'change gamespy nick'

A web page appears. Log into it with your EA account. This is the same one as you use for the EA-Downloader.

Now it'll ask you to assign a gamespy account with EF. This is your BF2 account. You need to tell the stat server that your BF2 nick has the right to play EF.

Dude, i finally broke down and bought EF but i can't seem to play. i have been researching this problem and all the fixes seem to be the same, modify the "Profile.con" file in your "My Documents folder to make your GameSpy ID the same as your BF2 ID. Well mine are already the same and its still not working.

Any suggestions? I just got the booster pack and installed it. and then put on the new 1.22 patch today!

Also, i don't actually have a GameSpy ID (account), do you have to have one?

There is no change gamespy nick under my play now icon.

It is above the "play know" icon. Select the "Edit Battlefield 2 Nickname".

Your name "is" case sensitive. So, just in case, bassie12 and Bassie12 are not the same for your gamespy/bf2 player name.

Hmm. sensitive it is... The funny thing is that my account name is already in use..
WTF??? i'm the only one with this nickname, i'm soo confused.
How the hell must i get this boosterpack started...

can u tell me the name of the web page that appears? because i downloaded it for free so i cant see it

This was the first time I used the EA Downloader. I didn't have any problems and am playing EF fine now, but I do have to say that the EA Downloader seems much more complicated than it should be.
