High Ping

How can i fix my high ping, i have DSL, i live in Oregon, and my ping is usually between 200-500, how can i fix it?

Reinstall BF2. I had pings fron 60-600 after the patch a reinstall usualy fixes it.

It also depends on the location of the server you're playing on. I get high pings 80-90-100 on servers in the UK and pings 30-50 on servers in local parts of the US or Canada.

so wait, this applys for all my games thou, is there another way of fixing it, then reinstalling,

I have checked Spyware, virus, and ahve defragged

if its happening on all your games and your useing servers located neer you ther your ISP isnt very good.

Well i don't know all my specs but:

Pent D
Gforce 6800
512 ram
and my my connection is 1.29 down and 266 up

i have a high ping too most of the time..its really annoying

Consider getting more ram. It's improoves your game experience, trust me.

1 GB, probably around $100-150. 512 around $50-100.

I dont think ram will improve your ping at all but the game itself will just run a lot smoother.

Well most people complain about ping because of the effect it betrays on the game. I guess this is not the case.
