    [Release] RingMasTeR's Word - Custom Localization Files (3/16/06)

    New 1.3 Thread

    Third revision released. Check em out guys, see if you can dig it. Included is a changelog, and a readme. Feedback is welcome. If you are not sure what this does, or would like to know how to do this for yourself... see this sticky and/or this thread.
    In short, it enhances/highlights your kill messages and team point events, votes... features more accurate weapon and vehicle names (NATO Reporting name when possible) ....etc. Changelog is below with a few example screenshots.

    Special thanks and credits to SaladFork, and Crowned for their work and inspiration. The original idea belongs to elmerfudd .

- Uniform highlights for teampoints. 
- Uniform highlights for map/kickvotes.
- Uniform highlights for weapons/vehicles.
- Smacktard Alert® highlight for Teamkills.  The offending player will have his name in highlight, along with the offending weapon used.
Example:
  Smacktard Alert!  Player1[TeamKills - Weapon]Player2

On BFHQ screen: "#1 Victim"   changed to  "#1 Byotch"
Account login: From "CONNECTING TO ACCOUNT SERVER"  to  "STARTING PAINFULLY LONG ACCOUNT LOGIN"
Connection problems: From Warning you are having connection problems" to "Warning you are having connection problems: Cross your fingers buddy!" 
Canceling a load: From "UNLOADING RESOURCES" to "UNLOADING RESOURCES - GET A BOOK"

Known Issues:
Some of the modified weapon names will appear in your BFHQ (weapon description screen only) as they do in the file and will look funky... exp.   PP-19 Bizon §C1001'SMG'§C1001      
This effects nothing so dont worry.

                  I think you have the DPV and FAV mixed up. The FAV is the jeep-looking thing and the DPV is the dune buggy.

                      I agree on the appreances, but most everywhere I looked had the FAV as a "Buggy". One example is http://wiki.bf2s.com/vehicles/transport/fav

                      I used jeep for the DPV to diffrientiate between them. Good eyes though.

                                          I had your localisation files on before the patch and thought they did a great job to highlight important events. Also makes it clearer exactly what weapons were used to kill/be killed by.
