Having problems getting Bf2 to stay maximized.

Okay, so today, due to problems that i had been having with BF2 over the past few days, I decided to reinstall BF2 thinking 'Oh, I'll just reinstall and everything will be fine.' WRONG!!! I reinstalled twice, yet both times, BF2 doesn't seem to want to maximize. Whenever I cilck on BF2 (v.1.1.2716 etc.), It shows a black screen for a fraction of a second and then it just minimizes. Does anyone know why this is and how it can be fixed?

thats it wierd, what is yout screen reslution mabye its too big for the game windows..try turning it down.
