I can see my buddies but it wont let me join the game anymore

make sure bf2 shows up in your game list in xfire.

If you did the rename bf2.exe tweak, xfire can't tell you have bf2 anymore.

Yeah I had the rename tweak problem so I switched it back. I didn't notice any difference renaming anyways.
