    Your Valued Opinion

[If something like this has been already posted than I'm sorry]

    Ok, Here we go.
out of curiosity i would like to know why oyu think battlefield 2 is the sh*t. BEcause i know that it is, I never wouldve considered playing it,; For i was hooked on COunter Strike Source. Having the opporitunity to voice my opinion, I wil.

BAttlefield 2 is such a vast, seemingly infinite game, that allows me to connect to servers full of nolifers from all around. I can be a Middle East Coalition fighter, A United States Marine, or a Peoples Rebublican soldier. I can drive a tank or a boat, I can fight or heal, or both I can command and lead, or follow and fight. I can communicate over VOiP, and I can have fun.

What battlefield 2 is is a platform for us gamers to develop. Battlefield 2 is merely the game, you and me make it great! I like the rank system. Someone commented on how long it takes to gain ranks, and how he wanted to have all the unlocks. I agree with his response, It would be great. Someone lese said that that wuld not be cool, because thier would be a million little generals running around. The rank system gives the diversity of an actual army. Providing a caste-like system for us to climb up. I am only a PFC, but I will play until I rot, and work my way up the ranks, just like in real war. The more effort you put into battlefield 2 the more rewards you get to reap.

My overall opinion of battlefield 2 is that it is super duper. It is more than counter strike will ever be, and it is certainly more of a challenge. I love it and hate it. Sure it has its glitches, but overall it is the sh*t.

PS: I love the Blackhawk. I love it.

    EA, DICE... You did good.
    TOTALFB2.com is good too.

i would liek to hear what others have to say.'

    I <3 BF2

    Re: Your Valued Opinion

BF2 is by far the most innovative and expansive FPS there is on the market. EA knows how to sucker its fans into the game very well, and DICE does a very good job at tying it all together pretty seamless.

The fact that you can fly, drive, run, heal, give ammo, command and so many other tactics makes the game truly enjoyable.

Other than the glitches and bugs within the game, I find it to be the best multiplayer game on the market. There is nothing like it as far as variety goes.

I hope DICE does good with its next version of BF, and I'm hoping they stick to modern or post-modern combat...nothing too sci-fi PLEASE! I like my jets and helicopters, they are what make the game.

    PEACE

      Re: Your Valued Opinion

Many of us recall greener pastures from Tribes 2, Planetside, and earlier BF games - we just wish that BF2 could've learned more lessons from its predecessors.

I don't consider BF2 to be innovative in any way, especially compared to the games listed above. I see it more as an evolutionary step from Desert Combat with a few small tweaks that DICE added because they wanted to, not because the tweaks necessarily made for a better game.

For their next game I hope they reinvent a lot of the mechanisms that they've been repackaging since BF1942 because the same old setup is getting long in the tooth.

I was speaking of innovation in regards to present popular games, within the last year. I played Tribes for about 2hrs and didn't like it. Planetside didn't interest me, I like modern combat and WWII combat. FPS games are all generic, BF2 doesn't follow the same standard.

I'd have to agree with Variable. All EA have done is repackaged and tweaked Desert Combat. Granted some of the tweaks have been great, other's not so great, but it's not innovative.

Actually BF2 follows its own standard - which has been around since BF1942.

My overarching point is that BF2 could benefit from a good competitor analysis and some out-of-box thinking. They've been relying on the models set forth by other BF games, and it's getting old.

                  Re: Your Valued Opinion

the reason we struggle with this game to get it to work is because it is without a doubt the best first person shooter that has ever been on a pc, no contest.

the only competition are its mods and BF1942, which was actually better in some ways (naval combat, actually had mods out quickly heh)

                      Re: Your Valued Opinion

Battlefield 2 is good in concept, but the coders just cant seem to figure out whats going wrong with their own code and can't leave pointless things alone while not concentrating on the big glitches and bugs.

                        Yes, its an awesome game.

It would be the god of games if it had better support and wasn't so bug ridden....

                          Re: Your Valued Opinion

BF2 is pretty good, why would we play it all the time if it wasn't. My only gripe is that because people keep whining about the guns are to acurate, the planes are too hard to shoot down, i get killed by my own mines etc. a lot of the good parts of the game have been ruined. Everyones a medic or support these days cause all the other classes have been messed up and it's the best way to get a high score. The grenade launcher is next to useless now, I can understand that players should not be able to fire it at their feet but why the delay in firing??? I've used it once since 1.2.

If EA should fix one thing it's to stop listening to all the cry babies that play the game poorly, make some sensible fixes (i.e. fireing grenades at you feet), and even up the game not by making vehicles like the black hawk useless but by powering up the MEC chopper and increasing the time it takes to replenish the flares or something.

The game has got worse but we can only blame the community and their whining for that.

I like BF2 because of it's variety in battle classes, as well as it's extensive range of vehicles and aircraft to choose from.

There are still many balance issues and bugs in the game though, and it crashes far too often, so it's far from a perfect game. I'd give it 8/10 as it is right now, perhaps it might get a higher score if they fix more bugs and balance issues in further patches.
