does this usually happen ... i am now at 20500 without getting to 1st sgt ... gayyyyyyyyyyyyyy, i waited so long for this it seems this is happening to **** me off... any ideas or is just the ranking thing really slow as ****???

Yeah, I got that problem too. I was so impatient! I really wanted the L96, but it was cool when it came round, I got the PKM too. ^_^

It can take up to a day or 2....Be patient it will arrive.

Fire up BF2 again, then go into some (ranked) server and score a single point. You should get your promotion.

BTW, swearing doesn't make you cool.

swearing doesnt make me cool because i am already cool ... swearing just relays my frustration a little better friend ... anyways i am at 20600+ now and rising ... i think i am gonna take a break and play agiain in a little while. i also noticed during this whole time not a single other promotion so i am sure it isnt an isolated problem just a delay... i just want to see that diamond, i think i deserve it.

You're not understanding...

The issue doesn't have anything to do with a delay. It's a issue with the way the engine works. If you hit enough points to get your rank while playing on a server, you won't get the rank. Ever. You need to connect to a server AFTER you've hit enough points for it to be able to figure out it owes you a rank. Disconnect, restart BF2, score a single point and you'll get the rank.

It's always been this way, you just never caught it before.

Kill someone, anyone! just kill something and you should get your promotion soldier when the server responds to Synch with EA

i like that promotion thing. LIke it took a while but when i loaded up BF2 it was like congrats, youved been promoted, and it was playnig cool music. Classy classy ea!

When i went into a server as a PVT, didnt get my rank before game, when i am Cpt, well it promoted me to PFC before the round ended lol...it about how the servers are working with the stat servers, sometimes they are slow, sometimes not

One of my promotions took 2 days to go through. Some have been 15 minutes - average has been 24hours.
