    X-Fi Problem with Battlefield 2:SF

Hi everyone, it seems as though something is a matter with my computer. I just got the X-Fi cards, and put the EAX effects to Theater. Now, when I go to start Battlefield 2:SF, you get the EA and DICE screens in a nice theater sound, as well as the opening movie. However, when I skip the opening movie, I get no sound what-so-ever after that.

I do have the latest drives for the X-Fi, and have the correct settings in the Battlefield 2 game.

So, is there any way to get sound using EAX while playing Battlefield 2:SF?

    Thanks.

Keep your X-Fi in Game mode when playing BF2 and SF.

use the mode switcher or the creative audio console

The problem is that when I leave it in game mode, I don't get the option to use EAX...the only place I have found where you can pick your EAX is in Entertainment mode, and since Battlefield 2 can use EAX, I don't see why they wouldn't let you choose what type of EAX in game mode...there is no choices

EAX works in game mode (the check box is on the mixer screen). You don't even have to have it enabled for EAX effcts to work in-game.

It's up to the game wether it uses EAX or not.

Go with game mode, trust me.

Alright, went with game mode. What are some of the EAX effects in game that you have noticed?

Reverb is mostly noticeable in tunnels (e.g. Kubra dam), it is especially noticeable when in 3rd person view in a vehicle as the first person sound effects aren't as loud.

Occlusions are noticed when gunfire is occuring outside of the building you are currently in.

Go into an Airplane hanger and use the command rose to say "Go Go Go!, or anything as you WILL notice the EAX. Like Talus said above the Reverb.....
