1: Are the EF weapons available for unlock? As in, so they can be used on regular BF2 maps?

2: Is there a way to get a desktop icon for EF? I have icons for BF2 and BF2:SF as I bought SF retail. However, the only way I can play EF is by clicking "play now" in the EA downloader main menu.

1: yes and they have been for a while, they are 2nd tier unlock EG. M95 > L96A1 (EF Sniper)

2: No, it is just a "Booster" it adds maps to the original game and shows as a red B on the map list. EF is parsed through BF2.exe, just look for map names "Great Wall, Operation Smoke Screen & ..err I forget the other one"

1: Not ALL of the weapons are available in vanilla BF2. The Europeans are just like another army. For example, the USMC medic has an m16, the MEC medic has an ak101, and the PLA medic has an ak47. In the same way, the EU medic has the famas.

However, two of the base EU weapons (the AT's P90, and the sniper's L96A1) are available as tier 2 unlocks. These are the only two weapons from the EU team that you can use when not playing as EU.

There are No EF Unlocks. They can't be used in BF2 like SF players could use their weapons.


The P90 & L96A1 are SF unlocks, that's why you see them in BF2.
