Attn: BF2 Account Name Limit Extended!

We are temporarily increasing the limit on the number of times you can enter the BF2 account that you have Euro Force assigned to. You do not have an unilimited number of tries to enter the right name. You do however have more than the initial 3.

NOTE: The name you enter is your BF2 user name. That is in fact a GameSpy name. For example: If I played BF2 as Shawn, then that is exactly what I would enter in the double field for GameSpy Nickname. Because that is a GameSpy nickname and the one that I want to entitle to play Euro Force.

Where: You can make this change in either of 2 places.

1. EA Downloader

• Open the downloader
• The Euro Force image will have a link "Edit GameSpy Nickname".
• This opens a web browser and you are then on the Edit Account section for your EA account.
• Login and enter your BF2 name in both fields.

2. EA Edit Account

• Go to ea.com
• On the top menu bar find My Account. Likely by clicking your name if you are logged in.
• Login
• A tab for Downloads will show you the field to enter your BF2 name in. Name goes in both fields.

Maybe someone can help i entered my player name (dOiNk) in the change name field and it sais it is already in use. What do i do now? Becuase i know i cannot play any of the new maps.

Why would you set Euro Force up like this anyway??

I use the same computer and version of BF2 that my brother does, different accounts because we wanna compete against each other and see who does better.

Are you now telling me i have to pay twice?
Why not just make it like SF? What was the reason behind this?

My BF2 name is not available for me in GameSpy. Someone else is already using it. Soooo... if I can't change my GameSpy name to my BF2 name do I have to make a new BF2 account to match the GameSpy name and forfeit all the points, ranks, medals and UNLOCKS?

This mechanism is bloody awful. Someone had an idea and didn't check with the real world.

I recommend a rerelease of EF that doesn't tie in with gamespy, rather it should link to the CD serial.

Crosskill, I had the same problem. I was unable to assign 'ptegan' to my EF download so I had to create a new BF2 login 'Ponster' and use that just so I could play EF.

Now though I can log back in and change EF from that new account 'Ponster' back to 'ptegan' which I wasn't able to do before (BF2 name not available error).

Can't you do the same?
