Gun Butting

I think Gun butting would be a good idea, because you know what its like if your running around say Karkand, you already killed someone and low on bullets then his buddy comes to attack you and you only have a few bullets left, no time to reload, not got an edge on the headshot, so butt them to death, pistol whipping would be cool too.

I like the idea of alternate close combat methods. Cool idea that would be neat to see implemented.

I think knifing a dude in the face is the most gratifying BF2 experience. I'm really not a violent guy but I love that cloud of dust.

Hehe, yeah, there's something satisfying about using a high-tech rifle as a club. I remember how gratifying it was to beat people to death with the rocket launcher in Halo.

For BF2, tho, the extra animations and stuff wouldn't be worth it. More RAM load and more reliance on a flakey hit-detect system that's much more noticably spaztic in melee combat.

Actually ive played whole Halo maps by just "butting" really fun, ads a lot of aggression in my opinion

used to love to pistol-whip a guy in MOHAA. Cruising across 1/2 the map to beat some sniper down was very satisfying lol.. HALO does a good job with this as well...

I suggested for another game that they make the right click option a 'melee attack' for any non-scoped weapon.

Big negative. Gun butting obsoletes the knife and I LOVE my knife.

i think gun butting would be a nice addition, if i run out of ammo on my primary weapon, i cant be bothered to switch wepons, or reload sometimes....only in these cases i would use it......if i could be bothered to switch weapons, i would pull out the pistol before the knife....but ide preffer to take a swing without any delay in weapon cycling...
