Hi guys

Well as the titles says...anyone else had this porblem? I carn't even start a local lan (just for a look around on my own etc)or single player let alone enter a server :-(. Disgusting.

PSIf its not one thing with BF2 its the other with BF2, its either your computer, your connection, a patch, punkbuster or this...

I've sorted it now guys....just a gamespy thing:)

To fix this your Battlefield 2 User Name Has To Be The Same As Your Gamespy Arcade Name.

Would it appear as if the euro pack was not installed at all if you gamespy and BF2 names were not the same? I do not even have icon on my desktop and the euro pack is not listed in my program files like the special fores pack is. Thanks for your help!

Euro Force is not a mod, it's a addon. Special Forces is treated as a mod.

Euro Force is located in the normal bf2 folder, mixed in with all the other BF2 stuff.

I've checked my gamespy name, it's the same as my in-game name. I'm getting the same problem.

this is dead wrong. Just have to enter your bf2 account name in the link from the EA downloader.

I have checked and changed my names to be the same. Now I crash to the DT when I try and join any MP server. Any ides what may have become corrupt or happened??? Thanks!!!!

I contacted EA about crashing to the DT when in MP. They sent me a reply that worked for me. Let me know if anyone needs it and I will post it in this thread. Thanks for everyones help.

I just changed my GameSpy profile name to something random like DogGunnEF (So now my account shows up as DogGunnEF in BF2HQ) and then change the GameSpy username for bf2 to DogGunnEF and voila.

Well, it's still not working for me, I've changed and re-matched as many names as I'm able to. I've followed EA's instructions on their website too, removing my local player info and then downloading it again. The problem is that my BF:2 player name and EA account names do not match, as EA did not allow punctuation in their account names. I'm also now locked out from changing names any more (3 times per week). I've emailed EA. Not impressed with this. I've said I'll give them seven days for a solution, or I want a full refund. I'd suggest anyone else on here who's having problems does the same.
