I always thought the canards looked good on the F-15 S/MTD, but looked bad on the F-16 CCV. Even the Jap F-2 tried and abandoned the canards.

Cool, how does it compare to the Euro Force game, though?

Fighting in modern conflict requires being, persistent and constantly one step ahead of potential threats and opponents. Rapid technological progress has driven the development of longer reach weapons and radars with greater precision, low signature targets and advanced electronic warfare.

          June 1982:
          Gripen programme begins.

Oh really!? so the three you mentioned are the same age, built for same purposes too? otherwise i'm sure you could come up with better planes to compare:)

              1982:
At Farnborough, UK government announces Experimental Aircraft Programme.

              May 1983:
              EAP contract signed.

              8 August 1986:
              EAP first flight.

The Gripen and Typhoon are contemporaries, but the real (English Electric) Lightning, Raptor, and Typhoon are the only mass-produced jet fighters that can supercruise.
The Soviet Firefox had two prototypes, but not mass-produced.

that video (with its 15.6 seconds of ACTUAL footage) almost put me to sleep. neat "Fast and furious" style graphics of the engine start and missile release

I want my 5 minutes back.

Erratum: The retired English Electric Lightning was also a mass-produced jet fighter that can supercruise.

In Euro Force, does the Eurofighter Typhoon have the same weapons as the other fighters in BF2?
Meaning the Typhoon is just the same skeleton with a different skin or texture mapping?
Or does it have original weapons?

It handles completely different but has same weapons as other fighters.
