Did you get ripped off by the downloader?

This information is provided for anyone who feels EAs business practices have been unacceptable.

This is a link to the Better Buisness Bureau's member listing of EA Games
    http://www. goldengatebbb. org/commonreport.html? bid=64196

This is a link to the Better Buisness Bureaus complaint submission site
    http://www. goldengatebbb. org/complaint. html

If you got ripped off by the downloader either because you mistakenly paid for it more than once, or paid for it and still can't use it. Then this is the link to the Federal Trade Commissions Website for consumer fraud.
"Fraud" as in took money for a product not delivered or took money for a product which did not work as advertised.

    https: //rn.ftc. gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$. startup? Z_ORG_CODE=PU01

If you are one of the lucky few whose game works well and you didn't get screwed on the Euro Force Downloader. Then we really don't need to hear from you.

This thread is for all of the people out there who have tried to get problems resolved throught EAs "technical support" and have not been able to get problems resolved.

It is also for anyone who has paid for the new Euro Force, but haven't recieved it or can't use it.

IT IS BY LAW EA'S RESPONSIBLITY TO FIX THIS PROBLEM AND TO REIMBURSE ANYONE FOR A PRODUCT THEY PAID FOR AND DID NOT RECIEVE.

It is EAs reponsibility as a buisness selling to the general public to ensure EVERY customer gets what they paid for.

Regardless of the reason. EA HAS TO MAKE IT RIGHT. EITHER WITH A REFUND OR A SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM

The source or orgin of the problem is for the most part irrelevant. As a nationally recognized computer game manufacturer it assumed they know on what systems or platforms their game will work and thier responsibility to warn or advise people PRIOR to accepting thier money. NOT AFTER THEY DO.

It is also thier responsiblity to provide customer support for the products they sell. YOU CANNOT SELL A PRODUCT THAT YOU ALREADY KNOW PEOPLE ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH.

And you cannot continue to operate an on-line service, ie the downloader which you already KNOW has problems and results in multiple charges for the same product. Or results in a charge to a customer for a product they did not recieve.

From what I have read, YOU are in the minority. I am truly sorry that you are experiencing problems but saying that it has not worked for MOST people is misrepresenting the situation. Plus, it has only been officially released for under a day, give EA a chance to read the emails and respond to them. I think you are jumping the gun.

In all honesty, a lot of the problems that people are having is because they didn’t read the directions properly. I know there not all user error and that there are some issues and you have every right to be upset if it is not fixed in a timely manner, but give them a freaking chance.

My concern is what EA Games is doing is basically WRONG

It is unacceptable for them to sell a product that has as many defects as this game does. I'm not talking about dolpin diving or what the range of the AA should be.

I am talking about graphics issues, sound issues, compatablity issues. If EA was responding to the problems I would'NT be here. They are not. They are approaching these problems with the same halfassed effort they put into it in the first place. These problems are of thier own making and they are responsible for fixing it.

The other issues associated with the downloader site are also thier problem. Even if it was a mistake on the part of the buyer. If the site is misleading or vague and lacks the necessary information for a buyer to complete the order correctly, then that is also EA Games problem.

I'm not certain, but I think they have a couple of computer programmers working there. And I would think they can fix it if someone told them to.

Therein is the problem. EA is not taking steps to ensure a product or system is functional and user friendly prior to releasing or selling it to the general public. Nor are they responding in an expeditious manner to fix problems they KNOW exist.

We as customers should not have to be searching forums trying to find out how to make a program work "as we thought it would" or how to fix problems we encounter. THEY SHOULDN'T BE HAPPENING IN THE FIRST PLACE ! ! !

              you're seriuosly late then.

They've already done that. BF2 .01 was released in June 2005. We are now up to .1. Soon, we may have a beta version of the game to play.

I had a problem too. After I entered my credit card info, the next page led me to an error. Also the page where you enter the credit card is not very secure.

ah cmon, stop whining all of you.

90 percent or higher probably have it working, even most of the people on this forum!

the only ones here are the ones who as usual, have problems and are complaining.

stop with the EA hating already. doesnt it get tiring after a few months?

EA laughs all the way to the bank because of the hundreds of morons who hate them, but buy every single Battlefield product.

Re: Did you get ripped off by the downloader?

It was your fault you got charged twice. You should know not to go through the purchase process more than once unless you're completely sure you didn't get charged the first time.
When I bought Red Orchestra off of Steam, it gave me a message saying my address was wrong so I checked my online statement to make sure I hadn't been charged before I tried entering my information in again.

You have a reasonable complaint in that you weren't able to download the product (although it's probably just a problem between the keyboard and the chair) but you're probably going to be SOL when it comes to getting your second $10 back.
You gotta calm down though dude... When was the last time you ever got a reply from any tech or customer support e-mail within 24 hours? Especially a company as busy as EA. Just because you say they defrauded you it isn't going to instantly bump your e-mail to the top of their stack.
