Heres another interesting EF error.

i downloaded and installed EF to BF2. Well runs fine, loads map fine. I get the "CLICK TO JOIN" button in singleplayer and enter the game. Keyboard and mouse shut down/stop working. The only thing that works is CTRL-ALT-DEL and ALT-TAB.

The problem only works on BF2 and EF maps. not the SF maps.

I then proceeded to uninstall-sheild uninstall the game and reinstall it. Same keyboard and mouse error.

Next I "clean" unistalled it by using the uninstall sheild and then removing all files in the Program Files BF2 folder and My Document BF2 folder. After reinstalling everything i'm hunky dory again.

Sounds like there is a corruption in the My Doc files or left over program files when EF installs....

HOW DO I FIX THIS? I hate spending 10$ for things that don't work and also mess up old games. Sounds more like a freaking virus than a booster pack.

before you start to search for a server, trying going to your control settings, if they are all blank, reset to default.

this happened to me a while ago but not with EF, just randomly

if it doesn't work then i don't know

I was just going to say the same thing, your controls all got set to crud. I fortunately have multiple accounts so I always copy my controls.con from one profile to the other. Hopefully you have that also.
