High ping ...help!

    High ping ...help!

    Is there anything you can do to affect ping levels? Ever since 1.21 I've had only around 20 servers under 100....Game runs very smoothly on medium settings........I've downloaded the latest Omega driver for ATI .....What are the factors that affect ping?......here are my system stats:

    AMD 3200+ 2.2ghz
    1.5gb Kingston KVR
    Powercolor x800 gto 128
    160 gb hard drive
    DSL cable....
    live near Chicago

      Ive had the same problem i used to get loads on 20 ping servers , and when i do get one and i go into game , my ping still jumps and i get kicked... i think its got something to do with 1.21
