Can't login to EA Downloader - help pls!!

Long time forum reader, first time poster so go easy pls :)

I purchased EF online, including dl the EA Downloader at the same time. Installed ok, went to connect and got:

And I don't seem to be able to get past that point! I've checked my firewall, IE settings, closed everything down to install but still the same error.

From scanning the threads I see one guy (zoolander) mention he's the same problem:

I had the same problem. I could copy the URL from EAD into IE and try there but I got the same problem.

I had to download EF on a laptop and transfer the files to my PC.

Ok thx for the response, I could try dl it thro another pc see if I have any joy, anyone else with any thoughts??

Hmm well another day gone and still I can't log on to the damn downloader.

I love paying for things I can't use, so much more fun.......

Where's this 'Shawn' guy when you need someone to talk to???
