    EF: What the fudge?

I paid, I d/l'ed, I installed, but when I go to play I get this:

any ideas? This is single and multiplayer.
There is not listing for the game in my "add remove programs" either. Did I get royally f**ked?

    Re: EF: What the F**k?

It won't appear in add/remove programs as it is just some level files in BF2.

Did you enter the correct gamespy/bf2 account name?

You're not playing with the same nick you used to buy it.

Change it in the EA Downloader.

What? I tried to sign up using the same "nick" I play with, it wouldn't let me, I didn't know there was a relation between the 2 of these. I can already tell I am gonna get more and more ****ed at this f**king POS download system from EA. WTF? Why not just make it a real installer with keycode like BF2 only downloadable, this whole linked to gamespy account, EA downloader account, is just ********!
I am reinstalling now. I will keep my fingers crossed.

you just need to log on to the EA site and go to my account and the last tab download info, and change the username there to the one use online.

              Re: EF: What the F**k?

What do you mean? Go to EA site and go to my account? Do you mean the EA downloader? I am confused. I tried to sign up using my online name but it wouldn't let me use my online name, it offered other names, but not my BF2 name. This is soo f**king stupid, there shouldn't be a problem, EA had f**ked it up again. I am soo ready for Ghost Recon: AW! BF2 is ****ing me the f**k off!

Look man....sit down and relax ok?

Your EA login that you use for the EA Downloader is not your BF2 account. Just make something up.

It's only when you actually buy EF do you choose your gamespy (i.e. BF2 nick).

Go to the EA Downloader, hit the 'change gamespy nick' and see what login EF is configured to be used with.

This is the answer, but if you ask me it is still f**king stupid.

The problem is that it isn't clear when you're buying and installing EF.

They should have made us all log in to EA Downloader using our BF2/Gamespy account..that way, it'd save a LOT of people a LOT of trouble.

Thanks for telling me to relax, but if I want to get virtually ****ed about this I will. Thanks for your concern.

Sooo true, I want to put my foot up the ass of the dickhead who planned the deployment of this software.

Well, they are playing with this new distribution system and there are bound to be 'growing pains'.

No one company has come up with the perfect online game distribution system yet...and it'll be a while before somebody does. But this certainly is NOT it

Plagarism is a great way to avoid pitfalls of your own. There are dozens of other software distrubution programs out there from Steam to X-Fire they could have emulated, EA is having problems fixing their own buggy software, why add another headache?

OK I got to the user page, but how do I know what to change my Gamespy userid to?
