Euro Forces Problem!

Hi,

Has anyone else had installation problems with Euro Forces?

I downloaded the booster pack on the 13th and installed it ok but when im in the game i can see the new maps but if i try to either join a server or do a single player with one of the new maps it thinks about it for a min and then pops up saying thatto play this map i need euro forces installed, please click here to but euro forces!

BUT I ALREADY GOT IT!

i called EA support but they were no help they just fobbed me off saying thatt the game does not go live untill 14th.... even tho one of my mates did the same but his worked!.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE HAVING THE SAME ERROR.

another thing EA support said to try was to reinstall all of BF2. i did so but still the same error! GOD DAM IT

When BF2 loads, goto single player mode and see if you can access the new EF maps. If you get an error saying that you need to purchase and install EF (when you already have), you need to make sure that your Gamespy user name is the same as your BF2 account name.

I thought I had set mine up OK, but I had not!

To fix it, just open up the EA Downloader program, click on the EF booster pack option and then at the top of the 'window' there is an option to EDIT YOUR GAMESPY NICK NAME.

Click on this link and you have to log into EA and then change your Gamespy Nickname to match your BF2 Account name.

Once you have done this launch BF2 and you should be able to play EF.

Thanks mate for the answer.... but now when i put my Game Spy Id in it says it is Invalid. i called EA up again and they said errrrrm..... we don't know speak to Game Spy!. Fobbing me off again. so i went on the www.gamespyid.com and tried to contact them but they don't have a telephone number! So i'm kind of stuck... EA will not help me. i said can you not just link the Euro forces with me gamer id??? no.... we can not do that cos it will cause problems with serial codes....

Change the account name to the BF2 player name you log in with. The reference to Gamespy account gets everyone confused. There's a link on EA downloader to make the change.

I have done that my BF2 name is SN1P3R_SN1P3R and that is what i put in the Game Spy Id name but still getting invalid account even tho if i login to game spy and it show my active account!!

Well, I got the exact error you described the first time I tried to join. After I changed the account name to my BF2 login, no problems at all. Read the sticky at the top of this forum. Call EA also then.

All sorted now got home and tested it only 'great wall' worked so i called EA and they said i had to reinstall it again..... F**K THAT i rebooted my machine and then all the maps worked! ITS A MIRACLE!
