Wow... Wait Time Ridiculous

... I Just started downloading Euro Force and the wait time is SO ridiculous... 2 Hours to download 360MB of data... I could download 1 GIG of data in 2 hours... I am really disappointed in EA's download server.

Well yes, you do have a point... but I WOULD expect more from EA since theyre a big company and all.. At least they could expand the bandwith though...

before you blame EA on thier servers, how about you take a look at your *(&*(& ISP and its hops to the server??????

try doing a tracert and see where you are getting locked up. If you are in california (like i am) then you should be having NO issues with speed.

I seriously doubt its because of EA's pipe, my guess is you are getting lagged in your isp and hops to the server

thats coming from a 15 year netadmin that runs his own computer company.

I downloaded it in less than 15 minutes. Pretty awesome if you ask me. This was at 8:00 AM central time. I assume the reason it was so fast for me and so slow for you was, I wasn't sharing EA's bandwidth with thousands of others.

I downloaded EF at 9:20AM PST and it took less than 15 mins also.

It installed straight up, played well in single player, then I played on a ranked server.

I think the EA Downloader worked perfectly.

Yeah, I'm betting it was something between you and EA. EA may or may not be the best software publisher in the world, but they're not so bad as to allow this I think. Of course....I could be wrong. Either way I was downloading around 6:00pm central US time and had it in about 15 minutes.
