I use IE6 and when I load EADownloader it says:

Action canceled
Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable.

yes, but you still can't hav eth beta installed, or else it just won't work. Doesn't matter if you have firefox, netscape, opera, or any variation on the aforementioned browsers. You NEED IE6 to run the EA downloader.

The firefox plugin uses the IE6 engine, thers absulutly no difference between IE6 and FxIE6 exept Fx is more secure.

Did you think its because IE 7 isn't officially released yet, therefore it obviously wasn't tested in that format...

I had that exact problem, I couldn't get the EA Downloader to work. Core error.. Then I checked the FAQ and found that it need Explorer 6. So I had to remove the beta of Explorer 7.
