Crazy MP-7 Love

last night i was on a karkand server and happened to pick up an engy kits
to my joyfull surprise it was packing a MP-7. Having never used the gun and heard mainly bad things about i was very pleasently surprised that it was powerful at close range, reasonble at long range, and shot a **** load of bullets really f*#&ing fast
only problem i don't have SF, and i probably never will
enough of me, what do you guys think about?

I think it's lsot some power since 1.2, but it is a cool gun.

It puts out a lot of weak bullets...every other gun puts out much stronger rounds and more accurate..I laugh at MP-7's engies. Use the Shotties, stay in a tank..if it comes down to firing a weapon..cover your a$$ till you have CQC situation then unload the insta kill shotty.
Benneli is the $hit imo!

I totally agree. I hardly EVER play SF but the other day I started it up for some reason and started going for my basic badges. Anyway I was SAS working on my engineer basic badge and used that gun. That thing really can be a monster!

It used to be good until 1.2 where DICE nerfed it to be less accurate and more of a spray gun at close range.

i was wondering if you buy SF do they automatically give you unlocks or do you have to get them the old fashion way ie. gaining ranks, i only ask this because i see people with way more unlocks (SF and normal BF 2) combined then they have ranked.

I unlocked it by accident, but to my surprise, when I used it I had a lot of fun with it. Definitely not a long distance weapon, but up close it's pretty fun and fairly devastating due to a high rate of fire. I call it my Squirt Gun.

You get free unlocks with SF. No, you don't have the re-earn 'em. 1 point will get you all your unlocks.

On Topic: I was happily suprised to kick some arse with the MP-7 the other night. I desided I'd give it another go since I was dissapointed with it when I first unlocked it (by accedent).

I had a truely amusing moment where I encountered an enemy engie packing a jackhammer. I fired first, did some damage, ran outta ammo (I only had a few round left in the mag and had forgotten to reload) and had to change clip while backpeddling like crazy. He opened up with his jackhammer and bearly managed to annoy me before I got my next clip in and dropped him.

It's certainly not a great weapon, but it's not horrible either.

mp7 Pre 1.2 = awesome subgun, best in game

mp7 post 1.2 = lets nerf the power and accuracy and try to make up for it by adding 20 more rounds to the clip

Seriously...why they had to mess with this gun blows me away. No one complained about it, no one whined about it....and yet they nerfed it.

I gotta say the US stock shotgun for engineer is my favorite. It may not shoot fast but when the time is desperate, it can take out enemy soldiers easily.

between the mp-7 and the US shotty i would probably go for mp-7 for reliablity and shotty for as Enz0 put it when the time is desperate
