number 1 rule is have fun!!
and sometimes that is hard when you get creamed all the time :P
in the begging, I felt lucky to get 20-30 points per game
this is my first 1st person shooter game
now avg 60-80?
but rememeber
it is points per minute of play
(ie some maps are HUGE with few players, you will get a bigger score
but takes much longer)

read these forums
you will learn a LOT !||!

some maps are for more points
depending on your style of play
team points are also good
(capping flags, ammo, medic packs)
hint:
find good sqauds
follow them
use VOIP

and my early lesson to me, was
you cannot kill if you are dead
ie - learn not to rambo too much

been playing since late august, early september.. didn't play much tough... till patch 1.03 came out,(thats when i got my new graphics card so i could play wit more than 15/20 fps).

I work a 4 day 10 hr shift, and have 3 days off, so I have time on my days off to play, and my son takes naps on my working days. That gives me at least 2-3 hrs of play time. I've been playing since the game came out. Oh i got about 70,000. No stat padding, or vehicle whoring. I mainly play Karkand, and Wake.

2000? I havent got that much yet. It takes a lot out of you to play flat out for a week but my main problem is lacking computing power = lag.

I only have an AMD 2800+ with 1GB PC3200 RAM and a slow-ass GeForce 6600GT and 128MB onboard. I barely get 30-40 fps at the best of times. This is on all medium settings. I have even tried overclocking things but never got anything but negligable results.

I just have to get a better rig to be able to play with some skill.

I kicked ass in bf42 and bfv, but not in bf2....

You get lag? I got a P4 2.5 ghz, 1.5 gig of ram, and 6800 gt 256mb. Yet I still only get 30-40 fps during fights. Other times, I can get 70-80. I find it all playable, and this is all on medium.

I've been playing since the game came out on two accounts and have about 70k points between them.
