I noticed this a while ago with patch 1.2. The main splash screen was showing version 1.1.2, but I had installed 1.2 (incremental). The game did perform like it was supposed to with the patch, though, so I left it alone. Now when 1.21 came out I decided to download the full version of the patch and reinstall the game. I did all that, and somehow it is still showing 1.1.2...etc. on the main screen. Otherwise there seems to be no problems caused by it. It's annoying though, since the "patch 1.21 out!" window still comes up when I log in. Anyone else experiencing this?

me the ame window is still popping up when i log in. also, im not even sure if i have the patch, as wierd as that sounds. i have noticed absolutuly no difference. and before, when i installed the last patch, nothing happened for about 2 days and 3 re-downloads later, but suddenly when i logged in it was patched. it was wierd -

Mine shows that its 1.1.2 also...but don't worry, it is 1.21. Trust me. Go into a single-player game and try jumping and shooting. If it doesn't work then it is updated.
As for the window popping up don't worry about that, that pops up for all BF2 players reminding them to install if they haven't. Your patch should be installed fine.Comment

Ok good, I was worried. I'm suprised no one else freaked out seeing that. I wonder if Dice noticed this, it's not good to have the wrong version displayed.Comment

1.1.2 << The 1.2 at the end is really the version of patch
the first 1 means the bf2 version 1.0 but the 1.2 at the end is the patch number. it is updated as i see the same thing too.Comment

mopar, in the software world there are game versions and patch versions.
A patch should change the game version but they should never be the same.
It was the exact same thins with patch 1.01, 1.02, 1.03 but you never noticed :)Comment
