i give EF the most stars possible.
All the new maps are wonderfully engineered and created and provide sweet ass battles .
I do love the HUGE amount of vehicles in all the maps. Operation Smoke Screen with two Mi-28's and 2 Tigers ( the Euro chopper sucks ass ) make the game so intense its unbeleivable.

So far, all ive been playing is great wall. Sniping is my passion ladies, and the great walls of china are perfect for it.

.. oh and nobody watse time in the Euroforce Typhoon ( Jet )
its got a wingspan of about 500 feet and manuevers like a cow.


PS. for those who have had trouble installing EF.

I was able to download EA downloader, install it, download EF, install it, and play it in about under half an hour. no system reboots are required. as soon as you finish the installation. click PLAY NOW on the EA downloader and BF2 should start up and you have become a proud owner of Euro Force.

I NEED HELP!! i just downloaded EF and installed it. but when i try and join a server with EF maps, it says that i have to first "buy the game" but i already did. can someone plz help me?

Make sure the nickname you used in the double box that pops up in the EA downloader, matches the in game name that you want to use EF on. To change your nickname, open your EA downloader, select EF, and above the "Play" button there should be a button that says "change nickname".

Euro Force rating: **
Reason: Cant use EF weapons in regulare BF2.
Maps are mainly armor/jet oriented and have limited cover for troops.

Complaining about too much armor? WTH, people throw hissy fits about planes and helos being all over the place and now its armor? God, before you know it we're gonna have to play infantry only maps because people whine instead adapting and overcoming.

As far as maps being mainly armor/air maps, that is true for two maps, Quarry (whatever it is, can't remember right now) and Operation Smokescreen. Great Wall is a pain in the arse for armor unless your outside the wall area. Even then its not very good. If you want infantry maps, thats the one.

EF weapons not in vanilla BF2....who cares? As if the vanilla weapons and spec ops weapons weren't enough. There's THREE choices for each kit in vanilla if you have SF and 2 if you don't. You don't need anymore weapons.

What bugs?

As far as not being able to get it in Iceland, I've heard that you just need to select a country whose language you understand or something like that.

For the people who are having problems installing it: Not much I can tell you except that Dice/EA (like any other software company) tries to make the installation/game work for everyone, but there's going to be some that it has issues with. Unfortunately, those of having problems seem to be those unlucky few. It'll work eventually, but these things happen...its impossible to make a software package work for every user who ever intends to use it. So, don't put all your anger on them. I know it sucks to not be able to play, but like I said the game won't work perfectly for everyone, its just the way software works...nothing you, EA, or Dice can do about it the day its released.

As far as the downloader goes...get used to it. I would imagine a lot of software publishers will move to this sooner or later. I mean, ISPs will be getting better/faster connections to their users. It'll mean cheaper production costs for software publishers and more profits....so get used to it.

Guess I should post how I feel about the game...forgot to before.

Anyways, I like it a lot. The maps are all first rate.

Great Wall is fantastic. The way the wall sits around the perimeters of all the middle flags will make holding a flag hard in high player count servers. What does this mean? It means one hell of a firefight trying to keep control of those two middle flags...meaning good times will be had by all...no boring moments!

Operation Smokescreen is another great map. I've been waiting for a armor heavy map and this is about as close as I can get until Armor Fury. The black, oil smoke was a freaking GREAT idea as it makes that area of the map fun to defend as infantry. Oh, and it just looks beautiful to me, very nice map Dice.

Taraba Quarry is not a bad map, I like it, but not as much as the others. For people who hate planes....you might want to stay away from this one as it forces ground troops to mass in the north. Seeing how the map up there is more or less bombing-friendly it'll not sit happy with people who harbor a hatred for planes.

Anyways, good job Dice/EA, I can't wait for Armored Fury.

Its good but very vehicle intensive what I thought the next booster was meant to be.

We needed more good infantry battles but got more vehicle maps and if the next booster (which it was advertised as this one was not) is the same it will be a bit poor.

As for the downloader, apart from having to rollback to IE6 from IE7Beta it worked without any trouble at all and would happy quite happy using it for future content.

I think it's still worth the $10. Plus i get to try out the new weapons including the ones i couldnt get in BF2 vanilla since i have about 20,000 points to achieve before i unlock the sniper and P-90 which i really like. The maps are not good for those who have to walk if the vehicles are taken but still for the price i cant complain much.

haha! my thoughts exactly!

i think EF is good... pretty decent maps, cool weapons, fairly good vehicles... and pretty fun to play
