EF Retail?

There were noised made by about EA releasing Download cards for EF. Basicly, just like a phone card for use with their downloader setup.

I made some calls to local retailers and they don't have a clue about this... granted, gameshop employees rarely seem to have a clue in general. :p

SO... does anyone here know anything about it?

I'm not a fan of doing on-line purchases.
I've been burned once too many times.

This would be nice. I'll ask a friend of mine in-squad if he knows of this. He works for a retail chain that sells software... If you have a "modern" credit card, you may be able to create a temporary account number JUST for that purchase. I use it all the time w/ MBNA. You set the dollar limit (I use the next nearest $10 increment) and the time limit. Can't go wrong with that!

I think its only Germany and Switzerland, I know you cant get them in Ireland or the UK. I presume its the same in Canada. Something to do with credit cards being less popular in certain countries or something.

Well if they release something like that in australia then there is hope for me yet. Just imagine being ABLE to buy it!

Sry Chowley but the DL Cards aren't offically for sale in Switzerland there is only one Shop importing it from Germany.

I did read somewhere don't remeber the source that they were thinking about a release of EF & AF together in a box on cd later this year. Did anyone else remember reading something to this effect?

Ah ok. Thats a bit of a pain in the ass, so its only retail in Germany?

I bit the bullet anyway, im downloading it now cant wait to try the Tiger :p

If this is the way of it, EF is doomed.
Their own market research showed that even offering a discount, only 10% or people choose to DL SF.

Killing off 90% of your market is NOT a good way to do business!
