Mic Problem..

Not only does my mic not work in game. I can not hear others.

I have friends say that they can talk to each other the whole time while i dont hear any communication.

My mic works in windows, and ventrilo, and other games.

Is there an easy fix to this non workin and hearing the mics?
any ideas?

When you were installing BF2, did you install the VOIP server at the same time?

The option to install the VOIP server is not ticked by default during istall

That's because you don't need the VOIP server unless you're running a server.
If you can't hear others on VOIP you don't have just a microphone problem. Make sure you have VOIP enabled in BF2's audio settings. If the others can hear each other it probably isn't a server problem.

If you can't hear the people speaking see if the slider for voice volume is up to 100%
