AC-130 is going to be included in this mod. :)

I don't think the C-130 would fit in any of EA's maps anyway, they have a habit of putting something right next to or between runways, and the wingspan of the C-130 would probably clip those on take off. :p

Yeah I used to Love flying in that gunship in Desert Combat. It was big, it was angry and it caried a punch with dual (manned) chainguns and another manned artillery-type launcher the spat-out hell's fury. That thing was fun to drive (snd shoot at from the ground)

It's too big and would come with alot of bugs and problems. It was cool and fun in DC only cause it was a joke and I had to laugh at it, a giant airbus flying slower then a jeep over a base with 3 migs on it's tail desperately trying to bring it down while coming under fire from troops inside the AC-130 firing SMAWS out the back door...that's some funny $hit.

They should add some type of cargo plane that acts as a spawn point, like they did in BF1942:Secret Weapons of WWII

The portable spawn point aspect of it was nice, I always though the guns were more for show than anything. The Iraqi chopper that had spawn capabilites was good for dropping troops on an enemy flag...

With the more agile attack helos & tv missles in BF2, the AC130 would probably spend more crashing & burning than actually being effective.

I agree ... it's really too hard to implement without having people bitch and moan. I myself would like it to simple be a mobile spawn point that travels in a fixed path and DOES NOT have a human player controlling it. Others would like it to be fully human manned, while I think that would bring about a LOT of problems.

The C-130 is just too large. Even BF2's maps do not do it justice.

BF2's maps are small and cramped, of course they don't. They hardly do the bombers justice in most cases.

ah the spectre. on our server it was named " The Lovebus". with a full crew and someone running air def that was such a sick killing machine. and the worst bit on the ground was if flown right u couldnt really see it and the first u knew of it was the shells exploding all around u.
sucha fearsome weapon when used right. and easy target when not. perfect
