Just posted over on the EA UK Forums by Protagonist.

If you have purchased the Euro Forces expansion via Downloader please be aware that the game is not scheduled to go live until Wednesday morning (9am GMT).

While you may be able to purchase the booster ahead of this release time, it will not function as intended until the release time and date.

So if you've downloaded and it's not working, that's probably why. Although it doesn't exaplin why some poeple are downloading AND playing now...

I no of nobody that isn't able to play do to being blocked but people that just haven't managed to figure it out.

But is DOES function as intended, I've just had a round on a server. Just shows that EA don't even know how their own products work

Well I'm guessing that if they say it should work then they'll have to deal with all the support calls they'll get this evening.

if they say that it's not due to be released until tomorrow morning then they cover their asses by telling the truth.

Well after my initial problem which I sidestepped, I've downloaded, installed and play a round of Great Wall so far.

I just bought it , downloaded and installed , but theres no shortcut on the desktop, is it a case of , you start BF2 normal, and the extra content is within vanilla BF2? I went to join a server with 10 ppl on and it said, you cant join the server with out having the Euro force pack installed, should it be listed in the custom games bit , as SF is?

NO its not listed nor does it have ashortcut seperatly because its an add-on NOT a full expansion, this means the Euro Force maps play on Vannilla BF2 servers (if you have it installed) some servers are currently only playing EF maps and have a server name in accordnace with this .

In the server search type "%euro forces" (without the "") and it will show all servers with "Euro Forces" in the title, is an easy way to find the servers. Or just sort by map name and choose a new map.

As other have said i dont know anyone that CANT play it yet, but make sure you have your BF2 account name correct as it can only be played on the registered account (this can be changed easilly)
