"You must have Euro Forces installed to play...?"

I bought, downloaded and installed EF but when i try to play a map it says I need to purchase it again. I used the nick I log into battlefield(Cerberus14) with but still the same error. When I click on BFHQ the name at the top it says cerberus_tactical which I tried changing it to but it still says I need to purchase. I even tried changing it back and forth a couple of times. Anyone know what the problem is?

I don't understand. You bought EF with Cerberus14 but play with cerberus_tactical ?


Why can't you log into BF2 with the Cerberus14 nick?

ya i dont know why it shows 2 different names in the BFHQ but neither nick will work

When you open the downloader and select EF you will see a text link "Edit GameSpy Nickname". Use that and make certain that you enter the same one you log into BF2 with.

That should do the trick, unless I'm not thinking of something.

So if I play under several different nicknames, I will have to do this every time I want to play EF with a particular nick? Why? WHY? WHY?

Because the 'community' discovered a way to get SF weapons without ever having to buy SF maybe?

now that i'm back from work. if you try to look up cererus14 or cerberus_tactical you'll get my stats reported for two different names. both of these names are updated after i play a round on any server simultaniously. i just have no idea how this worked out to work that way. and if i use either in the 'my account' area of the account.ea.com i still can't play EF. my in game name that is always displayed is the cererus14 one, which is the one i have currently set, but to no avail.

ok i've no problem with that. Just one account.
But for EF buyers, we don't get anything extra to play origianl BF2 right?
Never been to the Great wall before BTW.

I don't have XP. I used a friends computer to use the downloader then burnt it to a CD. It install with no problem and, now get the same message.

The problem is I need to edit my gamespy username but, BF2 isn't on the computer the downloader is? From what I understand I have to have the game installed on the PC with BF2 to edit the username.

Euro Force installation 4:11 and counting. lol

Good question. I haven't seen anything like that myself. I was actually wondering if somehow the game downloaded, but I never officially "paid for it" somehow? I never got a receipt.
