log off your EA Downloader

go to downloader.ea.com

click on 'download now' for EURO

type in your account name for your EA DOWNLOADER and PASSWORD

Confirm Password

confirm the gamespy (your battlefield 2 nick) that you wnat to apply the booster pack to *you need to type this in*

(if you have purchased before through this, your CC information may be saved if you chose to save it)
if not, you will need to enter in payment info.

click PURCHASE NOW

log back into your EA Downloader, select euro, and select DOWNLOAD NOW.

Great observational post on your success. Other people have had issues at various stages. I'm lucky to have purchased a $9.99 ea downloader that canot connect to a server. Mmmm wonder if connections to ea's servers are capped?

well,
purchase and download seemed to go ok, but get a catestrophic failure on install during the client.zip install of greatwall.

no idea, i removed the setp file(s) and the .eam file pointer to EuroForce, logged off EADownloader and relogged in and am repulling the file.

anyone else seen any issues, i have another thread showing the actual error.

suggestions are certainly appreciated.

Downloaded but am getting CRC errors while trying to install on the client.zip of Great Wall. Can't convince EA Downloader to allow me to re-download it.

i had an error on that same client.zip
what i did was go back into the path where the clint files are installed
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Downloader\cache\{youraccountname}

in there you will find
eagamesbf2-2006online_map_contentbf2euro.eac
and
eagamesbf2-2006online_map_contentbf2euro.eam

REMOVE those files, log off downloader and come bck into it, it should show you that you are ready to download again

also

if you DID blow it up already (as in, it said 'ready to install') you will see a folder up top in that cache directory that has the stup files for EURO blown up in it, and the .eam file that was 375(smoething) megs will be gone.

remove that folder, and the other file in that account directory, then log back into downloader
it wil then say that you are 'ready to download'

i am pullng it again too because i got an error on install

installed and got it working, i had a failure in the file, all is well now with a successful repull of the file

it's flawless unless you are running Internet Explorer 7 beta. it isn't supported and EA Downloader wont download Euro Forces. i wish they would have mentinoed that before i purchased EF. now i'm going to have to roll back internet explorer if i want to use the EA Downloader. this is crap.

Try installing FireFox and using that to download. Maybe hten you won't have to roll back IE?

Seriously, lose Exploder and get Firefox, can't be beat.

No it's not flawless, not even with IE6. And it doesn't matter if you have Firefox installed or not. The downloader requires IE6 to run properly. Unfortunately, it has not been working for me. Getting the same error over and over again, without even being able to download the game.

No it's not flawless, not even with IE6. And it doesn't matter if you have Firefox installed or not. The downloader requires IE6 to run properly. Unfortunately, it has not been working for me. Getting the same error over and over again, without even being able to download the game.

I have the same prob...guess the Swiss Community is not really importand to EA....sad sad sad!

i was actually quite pleased, downloaded everything without a problem. I put in my correct bf2 name, now i just need to test it and hope it works
