PC Freezes within moments of joining a game.

Hello mates,

My PC freezes as soon as I enter a game. Could I get some advice on what to do, please?

My Rig: (Dell 5150)
- Pentium 4 3.4Ghz
- XP Pro
- 2 gb Ram DDR2
- Ati Radeon X600 256mb PCI

- Updated to Patch 1.21
- Updated to current Ati driver catalyst 6.3

I suspect its something to do with the graphics card because Call of Duty 2 has the same problem as soon as I resume a game it will freeze.

Is it OC'ed at all, or has it been? Its good enough to play, but there could be a problem with it, like overheating or just a general problem with tha actual hardware.

Nope its not even a week old. I've also reinstalled the entire Operating System but it didn't work. Never been over clocked.

My first guess would be your memory ram timings.

When the computer first starts up it will say what you timings are. Ar eeyou familiar with what I'm talking about and do you know how to gegt into the BIOS?

My second guess would be your power supply unit.
