    Airborne Specialist Ribbon?

I havent gotten either the normal bf2 airbone ribbon nor the specialist, my question is...do i have to be playing special forces in order to get the airborne specialist ribbon? for instance can i aquire both normal bf2 and sf airborne ribbon playing just normal bf2? If i have to play sf in order to get it then where in the world is an airplane on the sf maps? I have looked all over lol. Thanks.

there are no planes in SF so your looking and not finding any planes was right on cue.

Easiest way to get the Airborne ribbon in normal BF2 is jump out of a heli when it's real high in the air and deploy your chute.

If youre in the air for the time period then it will show up "youve been recommended..."

Im actually talking about the ribbon that has these requirements:
IAR: 15 minutes in an Airplane
IAR: 22 kills in an Airplane

Dont think there is a ribbon in sf that requires the parachute.

        What ^^ he said.

You can't get airborne ribbon in SF. Bugged that way. You also "can't" get any of the service medals either, because they require 4500 hours or play time FOR each SF army. Thats six months (187 days) of solid playing EACH medal. No rest. No breaks.

The ribbons and badges are pretty dumb. It is nice to hear the drum roll + promotion message, but I've moved those audio files to the ring tone on my mobile phone. Now I hear it once or twice a day, instead of once every couple of weeks!

If I remember correctly I did get some ribbon while in a chute, don't remember the exact name.

it's the airborne ribbon...from vBF2. most people (non-pilots) spend a great deal more time in parachutes because there are two airborne spawn points. thus, most people get their airborne ribbon in SF...but it really is just an airborne ribbon. check it out at www.bf2s.com.

and you would be right. You cannot get the jet ribbon in SF because there are no jets. So why did they put that ribbon in there? Good question.

Speaking about ribbons, I have all the hours required playing as SAS, Insurgents and so on, and yet EA still has not given them to me. Am I missing another requirement?

^^^^^Which requirements are you looking at? Cause if your looking at bf2s.com, there wrong. Theres says 5hrs. The real time is 50Hrs and certin maps to be played, which is stated at bf2player.com

10s in a parachute for airbone ribbon

the airborne specialist ribbons requires time in an airplane, which in not-do-able in SF.

a bug. a darn freakin bug built right into the ribbon scheme.
