I have loads of respect for you, FlyingEgg... you are my BF2 idol as I consider myself a mostly dedicated sniper (although lately I've been exploring other kits)... The thing to keep in mind with those other 400 "snipers" is that many of them will spawn sniper kit, jump in a tank and tank whore all game. They get "sniper kit" kills and earn high ranks as a "sniper" even though all their kills come from tank shells... You on the other hand, have many kills with the actual rifle and for that, I respect you as a leader of the group of unthanked and often underappreciated soldiers who will be the first to put a bullet in the guy about to knife you or spend most of the game hiking over mountains to keep that arsehole out of his bomber so you all can take flags without being pulverized...

but seriously the diff between a 100ms ping and a 30ms ping is a lot when sniping

My thanks for the compliments... much appreciated.
Currently trying to get hold of my expert sniper's badge. It's hella hard without the use of vehicles (trying to earn it legitimately). Practically impossible I've found.. got up to 31, then had a stroke of bad luck where I was repeatedly artied, spawn camped and PKM'd.. was highly displeased, to say the least.

But yeah.. nice to be recognised for making an effort not to exploit bugs, utilise cheap tactics, etc. Very nice

The only one I've encountered who really stood out was a player who went by the name: 1TO1Sniper.

I've come across him only once and he managed to snipe me about four times in one round, which I don't think any other sniper has managed, usually because I never stay still long enough for anyone to get their shots in. On checking out his stats, I was mildly impressed, even though he seems to play exclusively on Sharqi Peninsula.

I've only encountered him that one time but he performed well in every round.

My proudest acheivements are my accuracy (little over 60%) and my close-to 3-1 kill to death ratio with my sniper rifle. (Not the kit.. the rifle.)

I'm about 400th on the world scale for snipers.. but those things are based on points, not skill.

... but not to brag, of course :P

spawned and was killed straight away, then hopped in tank, took out their armor a few times, killed a bunch of other **** inc. their chopper, got picked up by the MEC chopper, and continued to rape all

i wasn't commanding, i got 61 kills, look at the scoreboard

arty kills don't show up on the scoreboard anyway
i think that 61-1 is still my best round so far, either that or ~40-0
