How are driver ability points calculated?

I have always wandered exactly how driver ablitly points are calculated and hopefully someone can help me out with that.

For instance if you fly an entire round in a chopper with 1 gunner. At the end itll show you as best driver with maybe 8 points. Is it like 1 point per every 3 minutes driving one person?

Ive noticed several times driving an apc full of guys I might get 2 points at a time then a minute later get 1 more. Does the ammount of people you are driving determine the points?

If you're Driver you recieve:
1 Driver Kill Assist point for each kill anyone in your vehicle gets
1 Driver Ability Assist each time someone in your vehicle gets a repair, heal, or support point.
Any neutralize or capture points for flags you turn.
