Thank you so much!
This always happens every once in a while.
In ONLY BF2, usually I can connect and load up the map, then in the time it takes to select a spawn point, weapon, and join/create a squad, I get disconnected.
Now, I can't join ANY server, when I double click to join, it just says I lost the connection to the server...
I'm going to go reboot my router, but this has happened before and after reboots anyway...*sigh*
Ok, now, I have played a couple games.
But, there are still servers that my friends are on that I want to get on, and either can't even connect to them or I lose my connection to them after I'm in game playing for like 30 seconds.
I am honestly leaning towards my internet, but EVERY OTHER GAME is fine, other friends of mine have the same internet as me and play BF2, and my speeds are 15 mb/s down, 2 mb/s up.
It might be my router...I rebooted it but my netgear (ok, they aren't really mine, but my brothers, so I don't have access to them) supposedly acts as a hardware firewall. My XP firewall is disabled, and I don't have any other software firewalls...
Can some one please help me, or at least forward me to some one who can, or post my problems elsewhere, please!
It hasn't happened until about a month ago...
Anyone know what to do with the Netgear then? If I find the model, could some one tell me what to do so I can tell my brother what to do?
i.e. What port(s) BF2 uses?
Thanks...
