In the past 24 hours I've had 5 unlocks! I just got SF installed yesterday and my score was at like 4800 when I installed it. So I started playing SF and in the middle of a game I wanted to check my Global Score so I went to the BFHQ. When I got in there it said I had 3 unlocks and I knew with SF you get 2 and I figured they were giving me a third for my next rank. So then I'm playing today and I was officially given the Staff Sergeant rank and then it gave me 2 more unlocks with it! Is that normal? I only have like 5300 points and I already have 8 unlocked weapons.

lol yeah its pathetic in my early days you had to get 10K for your second unlock 25K for your third etc. etc.
Then the noobs started whining and they made it easier and easier to get unlocks. there was nothing worng with the original system other than 1000 hours per kit for expert badges was a bit harsh.
Bring back the old unlock system 250k for all unlocksComment

I lost interest in this game.. found more fun on unranked servers and less idiots..also there are some nice custom maps out there in unranked land and we dont have to listen to any of the BF2RS crap telling us what to do with our serversComment

Completely normal. With just vanilla BF2 you get one unlock for each rank starting with Lance Corporal. After you run SF you get two unlocks for each rank starting with Lance Corporal and access to the 2nd tier unlocks (SCAR-L, L96, MP7, F2000, etc.).Comment

Unlocks, i think you should get them sooner, i quite like to use the original weapons for most kits, M16 is a nice weapon. Kits that suffer from there orirganal weapon are AT and Engineer, everything else is useable.Comment

When they lowered the ranks reqs, I think they should have gone to every-other-rank to get an unlock. Kinda defeats the purpose, but to me, it made it special. Kinda like having your knife and pistol badge to get special rank designation.
In my book, for the stat/badge whores out there (like myself), they should have gone into the Warrant Officer to continue the special notoriety for those that wish to demonstrate a willingness not to run and gun.

Its totally normal as you were only 200 points away from your 4th unlock when you installed SF so when you played for a bit you ranked up to 5000 points and got your 4th BF2 unlock. Installing SF gives you the "3rd tier" unlocks at the same ranks as BF2, so basically you got 3 as soon as you installed and played SF for a few minutes and the other 2 (one BF2 and one SF) at the next rank.Originally posted by Bluecow003
