Till then its optional .... really who cares what cheif wokka wokka thinks whats he gonna do ... at worst he will reset your stats who gives a sh1t.

Though it is not required, EA requests that all servers run Friendly Fire at 100% for all settings, including mines (sv.friendlyFireWithMines).

The key phrase here in bold obviously means that FF doesn't have to be on for anything including mines.

I would like to see claymores and mines separated so you could choose ff off for land mines and ff on for claymores. Or better yet just bring back the ability to blow up claymores then the problem wouldn't be as bad.

Agree totally with that, it would be far better off with destructible claymores, then even being able to drop 5 of them wouldnt be an issue.

they have got to be taking the **** with the TK punish stuff how many of you have played on servers where joe pub punishes for everythin including jumping infront of planes to try to get the player kicked as they feel it is their god given right to be the only one in the air or when a plane crashes into a black hawk full of people and the pilot of the black hawk gets TK's added to him not his fault the games it should not add TK's for that, if you have a privatly rented server (clan/comunity etc) you are allowed to kick for

§ Artillery fire or bombing runs on main (uncapturable) bases may be prohibited.
§ Prolonged or sustained attacks on main (uncapturable) bases (i.e. spawncamping).
§ Using the Transport Helicopters to take flags (Blackhawk whoring or flag hopping).
§ Impersonating clan members.
§ Using C4 on jeeps, or other fast moving vehicles to take out other vehicles

but you can not turn TK punish off even though 90% of the public players don't have or don't know where the page up button is and punish for EVERY TK their fault or not

Why dont we just reset everybodies stats ditch unlocks.... and abolish ranked servers. Lets face it the ranking system turned out to be a big joke and the game would have been better without it.

Sorry if that would put bf2rs out of a job.

The last time we complained about a stupid rule. They overturned the BH whoring ROE update. Do not let this thread die people. TK punish on should be mandated by official servers only. If I can leave FF off, then I should dam sure be able to turn off tk punish.

Really. You might not have heard it, but I gave you a polite golf clap.

I've found Indian Scout and the rest of Combat Studios to be very responcive to the comunity. The previous draft of the ROE included a bit about not being able to kick commanders for choosing to fly instead of command. There was outcry. The rule was reversed.

Maybe if you tried communicating with them without acting like an ass, you too could find their a perty damned rational bunch.

they should fix the TK problems before giving stupid ppl the power to punish, how come a plane crashes into my AA vehicle and i get the tk for the guy sitting on the top whe i didnt even shoot the plane before? and there are alot more problems like that, what about a jeep full of ppl running into mines and then everyone inside punish? what about plane crashing into a blackhawk i was in and our pilot got the teamkill for everyone inside, and me being the only one that didnt punish......

btw admins never kick ppl that abuse of the punish system. if u complain u usually get a warning for annoying other players, newsflash: admins do it to.

if the game keeps going like this more and more ppl will think twice before buying next BF that comes out, and i dont blame them.

Dont forget people, that if you dont like the ROE, then unrank your server and do what ever you want to do. but *Gasp* EA provides the ranking, so unfortunatly EA makes the rules. If you created your own ranking system, you could create any rule you'd like.....or this may be a far cry, but if you dont like the rules, then unrank your server, and keep it full the old fashioned way through Good admining, and Constant promotion within the BF community.

Not entierly true. I admin on a server and yes, I handed out a warning about punishing for stupid reasons that went ignored and resulted in the guy getting kicked.

Having the punish report script running on the server is a big help. Displays ever time you punish someone. Since one of the local rules is "Don't punish stupidly" I can easily see someone with 5 punishes and no forgives, and asking what's up. If there's no good reason coming and I see more punishes... BOOT!
