    win rar

    whats the offical site for .rar? they do have a 30 day trial period. after thats up i will buy it. i need to know the official site so i wont get ripped off or get mal-wared

      WinRAR provides the full RAR and ZIP file support, can decompress CAB, GZIP and other archive formats

      there is a trial period, but like winzip, you can still use it after it ends. There will just be an annoying pop-up each time you open winrar reminding you to register and get an activation key

              Consier using 7-Zip instead, free and has the same functions as WinRAR.

              , archiver, compression, zip, best, compress, high, ratio, free, gnu, lgpl, unzip, far, win32, 7zip, long, file, names

                IZArc is another useful free archiver: http://www.izarc.org
                Between the two they've pretty much replaced WinZip and WinRAR on my PCs.
