I'm actually really looking forward to seeing what they do. BF games have always been about believability, rather than realism. I'd love to see a real sci-fi shooter based on future weapons tech, instead of another Lucus-like sci-fantisy shooter.


No mechs please! Gimmie something based on what war could be like in the future. Huge walking tanks really aren't a practical way fight wars.

How about making a game based on STARGATE?

For crying out loud, the show's been on for 10 years - shouldn't that make it game worthy?

Would be a perty good mod for BF2.
The content is friendly to the engine.

It would be a much better route to take than the Battlestar Galactica mod that's being worked on (even tho I'm a hughe BSG fan and can't stand SG-1 for more than 10 minutes).

Hehe, sounds like it's suffering from problems that are indicative of a carp cash grab project.

A BF2 mod made by fans would have a better chance of being a good game... but it's also likely to be crushed by the IP (That's Intelectual Property) owners.

I wonder how the BSG mod is panning out.
I don't see how the game play could really be that good consitering the source. As I said, I'm a fan of the new show, but it's simply not about ground-pounding.

It's less likely to get foxed tho. The producers behind BSG are perty cool about letting fans add to their universe.

You guys play gun? While its scripted....and that gets old, the horses rock and are done very, very well.
I'd like to see BF's design, go Knights in Shinning Armor, storming castles and stuff like that, with an end goal of say reaching an inner room deep inside the castle, and "cap" the king of that peticular castle.
Now that would be fun.
