Ive messed with ports and pb and everything but I still get choppy game play and lag and connection interuptions with a pretty damn good game rig I have. My guess is that it is the wireless connection. is that right? what can I do?

Re: Connection
It is very likely that someone near your router (might be a neighbor) is using a 2.4ghz phone. I know my router wil reboot if the wireless gets interfered with, but it definitely doesn't happen every 2 minutes.
I would try to disable the wireless aspect if you can and use a hard line, and see if it still has connection issues.
To Sir. -=AJ06=-, it might just be a crap router because I haven't heard of that brand before

Download it, run it, and click on "Update" once you have added BF2 to the game listComment

Re: Connection
Dont think it is your wireless connection, although it sounds like a problem a wireless connection could have.
After the last wonder of a patch......
I can not find any servers in the game browser (well, OK a Christain Gaming Server was found once) and the Favorites that I have are plagued with the "there is a problem with your connection" at times, one every 15-30 seconds.....pathetic.
Oh, and I am not on a wirleess connection and have never had any connection problems before.
No, me thinks it is the patch....that patched the patch, patching the patch that patched the other patch.
Thanks DICE, another fine job.Comment
