    God Help Me

    *blah blah blah*

I installed the 1.20 - 1.21 patch and I tried to join a server and it says my CD Key was invalid, so I figured that I should reload the patch cus the same thing happened with 1.03 and it worked after I reloaded that patch.

Anyway I re-ran the setup and the meter/bar thingie came up and the name of the file it was loading changed about 3 times in less than 10 secs with no progress on either of the bars and then a message came up telling me that it installed successfully.

So I then tried to run BF2. The splash screen came up. Nothing. My xfire status changed to BF2 but nothing happened, as if I hadn't clicked on BF2. Someone please help me... I hate this BS. And please don't tell me I have to reload BF2... I can't go through that ordeal again... Reloading BF2 is the equivalent of reloading windows.... *shudder*

Yup it's a pain in the butt. But what else are you going to do? If you want to play the game you have to keep messing with it for it to work. Good luck!

I don't see what's so hard about reinstalling BF2. It takes at most 30 minutes, just as long as you don't have to wait for a patch download to finish.

When you uninstall BF2 you must remove a couple keys from the registry first. If you don't you will get odd things happen. I had an old machine that I needed to reinstall BF2 on, but it would just doa quick loop because I hadn't cleaned the registry.

Let me look for the BF2 link for you.
