Have you seen this before?

Ok its like the red tag bug...but different.

There was a guy on the other team, and he had a red name above him....but a chinese uniform (it was wake)...

When I shot him it said team damage so I thought it was regular red tag bug but when he killed me he got +2 points and said XXX [killed] Alcorr.....except there was a weapon for killed...I don't remember which one it was.

Anyone else seen this before?

that personally has not happened to me, but I have seen another really weird bug like that.
It was wake, I was US and we were raping the chinese. I was at the chinese airbase as Spec Ops, I kept on destroying their Arty when ever they fixed it. Well, I see on my radar that one of their arty's is colored like an American one, but its at their base so I destroy it and LOSE POINTS for team vehicle damage....
it happens again with another one...

Hmm well did your team capture that airfield during that game?

Because if so, your team takes control of their arty.

we did, but the thing is it took the arty one at a time over a period of like 20 minutes so I dont get it...

I think it takes a while for example if you destroy the arty, your team takes it over, its recaptured and then a supply drop repairs it, depending on how long the chinese have held it for....it still may be in US possesion...theres some sort of time amount.

I've seen something similar. On Oman, I was on MEC and I snuck over to the U.S. arty and destroyed 2 of the 3 guns. As soon as I blew them up I got team vehicle damage -4 or something. I could not believe it. I left the game completely, rebooted and went back into the server on MEC again, I got on a stinger and I shot the US attack chopper down. I got team vehicle damage and 2 teamkills like -12 or -16....At that point I said a very profane word aloud and called it a day. LOL

Yes, only on wake and temporarily....until the chinese team recaptures the airfield.

Yeah this happened to me. JohnyLa had a red tag but when i did the ingame spot it didnt show as an enemy, and when i shot him it said dont hit ur teammates.
AND, when I killed him it counted as a TK

Exactly, its almost as if the red tag bug is evolving (yes I know it isn't) and the next thing we know we are all going to have red tags and it will be a free for all except all it will say is XXX [Teamkilled] XXX.

Yea, it's a bug on Wake.

Had the same thing on Oman, guy on my team showed as red, had the right uniform, but he also showed as being on the OTHER team when I hit the tab key.

That's the classic red tag bug. The guy has a red tag, a friendly uniform, and shows on the other team on the scoreboard. If you kill him it looks like a legit kill to you, but everyone else on your team sees a teamkill and you lose points.

I think this is an exploit. I've seen it before but the players that I've seen with this bug were also getting very suspicious, aimbot like kills. They probably had some sort of all in one multihack. If anything, this is an exploiters dream, an exploit that will give anyone who kills you negative points instead of positive while looking like a teammate.
