How do you change your name?

Can you change your name completly like so i dont have virtus2 in the end. Basically i want a new name like
Sam Fisher03

but my current name is Virtus2
when I added the Sam Fisher 03 to my nickname it combined them. I dont want that. Any suggestions?

It's not possible I don't think but I remember someone saying you can change it with gamespy.

can only change your password,personal data like country,etc wit gamespy. not your nick. its imposible... gamespyid.com

lol u create a new account then start all over again. that sucks when u do that. think of a good name and use that one. stick to it like family =)

sadly this is the only problem with bf2; no way to change your nick. You think I wanted raceacontari? ha...no, I wanted Raptor...just chose this cause raptor was taken (and never used stupid *grumble grumble* jerks...) So afraid you are stuck with that name unless you want to start all over

I think that was the best thing that EA/Dice could have done when they made it so that you can't change your name. It keeps the Grievers & a$$hats from causing crap, leaving the server, changing their name & coming back in to do it again. I think we have ALL had enough of that crap with all the other FPS games we have played.

I made my name without clan tags when this game first come out. Of course I found out about a week later that you COULD NOT change it soooo ....... worked well on my part.
